There are lots of these canals in Amsterdam, a city in a country where most of the lands are below sea level.
As I walk along the area, I found out that the boats which are parked along the canals are use to get around town. They just got in their boat, ride it toward the shopping area of town and parked it there.. kinda like us with our boats and Kampong Ayer.. Only thing is, its much cleaner here.
