Whenever i send my daughter to Sekolah Rendah Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah, this building looks magnificent from a distance, with its pyramid shaped roofing and with its tall and proud glossy structure when hit by the early morning sunlight, this building is just awesome. And i said to myself, i should somehow, if i had a chance and take a shot of this building.
OOF happened to be on leave and back in Brunei for his brother's wedding and during the period he planned for an outing where we took photos of the stadium, legislative council building and the tower at the previous postings. And he asked me what other buildings that i wanted to capture digitally, so i pointed to this building.
It was Friday, the entrance to the building was closed and guarded. OOF parked his car about 30 meters from the security guard's hut. Armed with his camera he walked to the guard's hut and hoping his charms and sweet talk will soften and limping the hard and muscular and a bit flabby on the stomach security guard's heart, hehehe. And i just wait in the car and waiting for his signal. Yup, the signal says 'come over'. The security guard was kind enough to let us take a few shots of this building but with limitation, we should not cross beyond the cones.
