I was Skyping with OOF!! when i did this, let just say an online tutorial. I was complaining about how to straighten up the bended images due to barrel distortion and i do not want to lose details especially on the log and the boulders, and the sky...macam semua jua ah. And OOF!! was not really happy with the colours of the photo, he says the photo needs more brilliance, so he taught a few tricks. This photo took me hours when he can do this in a minute. So behold the redux....if that is really a word that is.

well thanks OOF!! Basically its not much of a trick, anyhoo...after you played around with the image>adjusment and really satisfied with it, then you go Filter>Sharpen>Unsharp Mask, keep the Radius between 1.0-1.5 pixels and Threshold to 0 levels and just play around the Amount %, i usually keep it below 150%. Dont overdoit or you will get this glowing and grainy effects. Good Luck.

Redux is an adjective meaning "brought back, restored" (from the Latin reducere - bring back)[1] used in literature and film titles.

In my case, i am bringing back the photo again and restoring from distorted to undistorted. Heee..

Dont get confuse with flux redux for soldering!!
