The first thing iso [i, saw] when I woke up this morning and opened my bedroom window curtains was the waves at the beach. There were strong winds today and this would be the day I catch myself some waves.

Have you ever walked for half an hour under the mid eastern heat? I haven't. Its was a cool 20 degrees in Sharjah. Armed with a camera and an ipod (no tripod this time.. thought it was bright enough out there), I went out in search of a good shot.

I only had my 11-18mm lens with me. Did you know how close I had to be to take this? Shoes and jeans all wet, thank god my camera's safe. I took just over 100 shots this morning. It was difficult trying to get the right shot, especially when you're jumping all over the place trying to stay dry. It was too bright to see the screen shot in the view finder so I had to make sure I got at least a few right.

This was done with two photos, both at the same exposure.
