Leaving Dallas was painful. Although the weather looked fine in this photo, it was only a matter of time before it all changed.

This was shot an hour before departure. Just before we got on the runway, third in line at that time, lightning started to strike Dallas Airport. This was not like I've seen before. It was ugly.

We couldn't depart so we had to shut down the engines to save fuel. We waited exactly one hour and thirty three minutes before the storm calmed.

So where did I fly to?

The glossy look was the result of HDR. Stitching? Top part 1/4 airplane, 3/4 sky, bottom part, 3/4 airplane, 1/4 sky.. Easier that way rather than the conventional half half..

Thanks guys..
