I've finally done it.. The one thing I've been meaning to do for sometime now. For months now its been lingering in my mind every time I step foot in Dubai.. and now I am at ease.

You might wonder why its called Burj Khalifa instead of Burj Dubai. It was changed after Dubai went bankrupt (sort of) and Abu Dhabi stepped in with the financial situation.

The Burj Khalifa holds the following records..

World's tallest building at 828 metres, world's tallest man made structure, world's tallest free standing structures, most number of storeys in the world with over 160, highest occupied floor in the world on level 160, highest outdoor observation deck in the world on level 124 (I have to do this one day), world record for vertical concrete pumping which was over 600 metres, world's highest service elevator at 504 metres and the world's highest swimming pool on level 76.

The tower costs AED3.7 billion (US$1 billion) and it took over 7 years of meticulous planning and painstaking construction.

It only took me 10 minutes to shoot this.. Hehe!!

I don't know how I'm gonna top this photo...

Thank you guys.

It's an office building, I think. But it's got an observation deck where visitors can come and look at Dubai from a bird's eye view. Level 124, something I have to do next come winter. Now will be too hot.

I came there about an hour before the blue hour to look around for angles and stayed another hour after that. All and all from my hotel and back to the hotel took me 5 hours.. and only 3-4 photos worth the time...

Oh!! Also it is tall. Usually my vertorama is square but this time I had to stretch it further upwards for a better frame work.

The only thing that wasn't as good was that I wish they had better lighting like the Petronas Towers in KL. Then it would have been a killer!!
